The Associated Press seeks an Advertising (Retailer) Account Executive, iCircular for its New York City headquarters.

The Temporary Advertising (Retailer) Account Executive's primary responsibility is to maintain a productive and successful relationship with both new and existing advertisers/retailers participating in the iCircular mobile advertising program. iCircular is an innovative mobile and cross-platform shopping solution for consumers and retailers (www.icircular.com) delivered through newspaper mobile websites and mobile applications. iCircular is at the cross-roads of digital convergence bringing the traditional Sunday retailer ad to consumer's smartphones, tablets and computers. As the primary iCircular contact for advertisings, the Account Executive will be responsible for coordinating with advertisers throughout all aspects of the sales process as well as assisting them through the technical onboarding, marketing and reporting steps.As part of this process, the Account Executive will update and maintain advertiser progress reports; communicating product updates and enhancements; plan and coordinate sales presentations, and solicit and share tips and best practices. In addition, the Account Executive will be responsible for keeping iCircular management updated on each advertiser's progress and feedback.
Other responsibilities include:
Assess and identify customer needs, effectively handle objections.
Monitor account production and growth, and predict future needs.
Communicate account plans and key customer issues to all members of the sales and support teams.
Understand complex customer requirements on both a business and a technical level
Identify possible threats to sales opportunities and create solutions to overcome them.
Partner with account decision makers to identify ongoing account trends and activities.
Interact with different stakeholders within the organization to understand the business needs.
Coordinate sales calls meetings and presentations.
Provide management with ongoing weekly/monthly advertising updates.

REQUIREMENTS:
1 to 4 years of mobile, media or advertising industry experience.
Strong negotiation, influencing skills and an ability to persuade at the executive management level.
Passionate about mobile and online media and the internet, with a desire to learn.
Strong understanding of digital publishing and advertising dynamics.
BA/BS (Marketing/Advertising preferred).This position will be on a fixed length basis and will include benefits. The specific term will be discussed during the hiring process.
