Advertising Sales Professional For Winter Sports Magazine (Denver)

Snowshoe Magazine -- an online publication devoted to the sport of snowshoeing and the outdoor lifestyle -- is searching for a motivated sales professional to sell digital advertising space on Snowshoemag.com. This is a great position for somebody who has established relationships in the winter sports and outdoor lifestyle industries and can easily sell space for a magazine that will soon celebrate its 10th year in business. This is a home-based, part-time, commission-only position that pays a percentage for new business and for renewals. The ideal candidate should not only further build existing advertising relationships (seeking upgrades, creating sponsorship opportunities, etc.) but should also pursue creating new relationships. This person should not be afraid to generate leads and do some cold calling if necessary. Additionally, the right candidate should help collect ad materials, organize how the ads appear on the site, work with clients to increase impressions, and consistently communicate with clients on ad performance (all part of the commission payment structure). Although the magazine is seasonal, the website is still active during the off-season -- reporting on trail running, adventure racing, and other outdoor pursuits.

It's imperative to have the following qualities: ad sales experience, deadline-oriented and the drive to help further develop business for a successful online publication. Candidates located in the Denver Metro area preferred, but not required. No benefits available, contract only, 100% commissions.
