Art Director/Advertising & Interactive (Financial District)

RHDG is an established, award-winning San Francisco based full-service advertising, marketing, communications, and creative services agency. We are seeking a highly creative and motivated Art Director who is eager to make an impact within the agency, and thrives in an exciting, fast-paced and highly collaborative, team-oriented environment. Great creative energy, and innovative ideas are a must.

Specific duties include, but not necessarily limited to:

Developing smart, effective and compelling concepts for multifaceted client campaigns for social as well as traditional media

Maintaining and cultivating new strategies, identifying opportunities, and providing creative leadership for existing client base

Must have effective copywriting capabilities to succinctly deliver messaging in multiple formats

Share insights, brainstorm possibilities, inspire, lead and motivate creative team, and develop collaborative relationships that foster the exchange of creative ideas

Sources, selects and supervises staff designers, developers, copywriters, filmmakers, and other contributory talent

A focus on new business--crafting pitches in tandem with business development and creative team

Reports to Executive Creative Director, and working in tandem with copywriter to evaluate individual project needs and business objectives, and preparing and presenting concepts to client for selection and approval

Candidate must have:

Experience working on social media campaigns, digital creative including interactive advertising, web, branding and traditional media.

The ability to prioritize workload, manage multiple projects with fast turnaround, work quickly, and with great accuracy, meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude

A strong sense and understanding of typography, layout, color theory, command of design principles

Must have solid written and verbal communication skills, and ability to effectively justify and communicate ideas/concepts to internal team, and comfortable leading client presentations

Ability to welcome suggestions and constructive criticism

A hands-on command of standard design and layout applications (InDesign, PhotoShop, Illustrator) is expected

Minimum 5-7+ years work experience is a MUST in agency environment.
