The role: Jr. Advertising Sales Executive
We are looking for a professional, detail oriented, and aggressive individual to work with our Sr. Advertising Sales Executives and Sales Team on a variety of sales projects and tasks. In the beginning, you will focus on opening the door and setting up calls and meetings with mid to large sized companies for our Senior Ad Sales Team.
After a short period of time, the Jr. Advertising Sales Executive can grow into an Advertising Sales Executive and begin to build his or her own book of business.
Duties:
Assist Senior Ad Sales Executives with building new business through opening up doors and setting up meetings
Assist with the preparation of proposals, responses to Request for Proposals (RFP's) and other new business development initiatives
Assist with preparation of campaign plans and execution strategies
Work closely with various teams in the organization- including the Media Buying and Account Management teams
Present with VP and other team members in client co-pitches to help land new business
Attend industry conferences and look for new client growth opportunities
Prepare contracts, insertion orders, and reports on a regular basis
Requirements
1-3 years of experience in sales and / or marketing support, preferably at an ad agency or media company
BA / BS degree in Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, Public Relations or other related fields.
Experience cold calling mid to large sized businesses and setting up meetings with high level business executives
Experience growing and developing client business
Entrepreneurial, professional, and strong work ethic
Detail oriented and excellent time management and organizational skills.
Strong proficiency with computers, especially Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook).
