Online Advertising Assistant
We are a successful 10-year-old online retailer looking for someone to assist in maintaining and improving our online advertising efforts. This job requires a person who is both analytical and creative: maybe a half detective and half behavioral psychologist. You have to look at data from advertising campaign results, web site analytics results, and try to get inside the shopper's head. You have to be able to think about what words will trigger a certain type of person to click an ad, what words will help them make a decision to buy. You also have to think about what could scare them away.

You have used eBay, Craigslist, and Amazon.
You are a self-starter -- maybe you even run a website or blog.
You can figure out how websites and software work on your own -- you've used so many that it comes naturally.
You can extract results from spreadsheets, and make beautiful graphs.
You are organized and can stay focused on a goal; you don't go off on tangents (very much).
You have a college degree and might have majored in math, science, business, engineering, or another analytical field.
