WCPT AM & FM, Chicago's Progressive Talk, is searching for a sales person. Candidates must possess the following attributes, skills and abilities:
Good prospector (phone and in-person)
Conversational and a good listener
Good networker
Able to ask for and follow through on referrals
Willing and able to ask for large orders
Proficient with computers
Document activities on electronic contact mgmt system
Organized and disciplined
Good time manager
Background in sales is required
Background in media sales preferred
College graduate preferred
Interest in progressive politics preferred
Interest in sustainability preferred
We are a multi-media platform and we sell access to a progressive audience via on air commercials, web stream commercials, web site ads and eblasts. We have a high activity environment. Sales objectives are aggressive but reasonable. We are interested in talking with high-energy people who have ambitious economic goals.
