Job Title: Senior Project Manager/Advertising Engineering

Location: Mountain View, CA

Job Description

OpenTV is seeking an experienced and qualified Senior Project Manager who can manage software development projects in the Advertising group. The candidate will be responsible for the overall planning, execution and completion of these projects.

Responsibilities:

Manage complex software projects in a fast-paced, primarily agile, environment.

Working with cross-functional teams, create and manage release and iteration plans for agile projects.

Baseline project budget, update cost forecasts and report on variances on a monthly basis.

Identify, track, update and mitigate project risks.

Ensure the implementation of software development policies, methodologies and procedures on assigned projects.

Facilitate internal/external communication between the development team and all stakeholders.

Organize and facilitate iteration planning sessions, daily stand-up meetings, reviews, retrospectives, demos and other Scrum-related activities as needed.

Review and monitor project progress and act on deviations from plans.

Implement and lead the change management process.

Manage multiple project sub-teams.

Collect and analyze progress, quality and other metrics throughout the project and monitor for acceptable boundary conditions.

Create project reports, including project plans and end of project summaries.

Conduct regular team retrospectives and oversee proposed changes to completion.

Act as a role model for professionalism, critical thinking, collaboration and setting productivity pace.

Communicate important decisions to key stakeholders and keep them informed of progress throughout the project.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree, Information Technology related preferred.

5+ years of proven software project management experience.

Hands-on experience with Agile Methodology of software development and project management, as well as classic Waterfall project management experience.

Ability to independently drive projects through entire software development lifecycle to successful completion.

Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

Exceptional organizational skills and attention to details.

High capacity for multi-tasking, with excellent issue and time management skills.

Strong people management, interpersonal and relationship-building skills.

Experience working in a fast-paced environment and with remote teams.

Ability to work independently in an efficient and responsible manner.

Basic understanding of technologies and software development as it pertains to enterprise applications development.

3+ years experience with Microsoft project and/or other project management tools.

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Proficiency using scheduling, productivity and communication tools.

Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) preferred.

Cable television advertising industry experience a plus.
