Position Summary

The Database Marketing Analyst is responsible for utilizing marketing databases to drive marketing strategies, tournament optimization, campaign execution, and revenue growth. This position will also assist the leadership team in managing programming calendars, tracking business performance, understanding customer behavior, and identifying marketing opportunities. In this position, he/she will partner with Executive Director of CRM and Analytics and internal marketing department constituents to provide programming recommendations and in-depth performance analysis to all levels of marketing. The successful candidate is detail-oriented, a self-starter and a strong team player with excellent communication skills, who enjoys working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The ability to multi-task, prioritize work and meet deadlines are critical to success in this role.

Primary Responsibilities

Manage and execute site-wide tournament programming strategy and monthly calendar

Create tracking metrics that help provide insights to drive future programming strategies and identify business opportunities and problems.

Work with manager and internal marketing clients to prioritize and execute analyses related to marketing and/or programming initiatives.

Provide list management and campaign analysis for marketing campaigns.

Design marketing targets tests in conjunction with the Marketing leads, as well as provide

analysis used to plan a promotional campaign

Create post-campaign response tracking report as well as detailed campaign post mortem analysis.

Perform customer segmentation and profiling analysis

Track customer behaviors and life cycles, such as response, engagement, and churn.

Provide ad hoc data analyses

Work with managers to identify data integrity issues and perform data validation tasks to ensure a successful data mart implementation

Requirements

BA/BS or equivalent is required. Advanced degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, Economics, Statistics, Math or equivalent a plus

Entry level or Minimum of 1year of experience in database marketing or web analytics, preferably in a e-commerce or direct marketing environment

Proficiency in SQL queries a plus

Knowledge of large, relational databases and data structures a plus

Knowledge in statistical analysis, test design, and predictive modeling

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Access, and PowerPoint

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Strong project management skills, especially time management.

Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis capabilities

Experience with business intelligence tool a plus (e.g. Brio, Business Objects, Cognos.
