The Cosmic Slop Festival will be the first rock festival of it's kind to feature acts with African American musicians from the Metro Detroit and Tri-State area. Taking place August 27-28, 2011 at the New Center Park and being organized by local musicians and entertainment professionals, this internship will be a chance to work with people who have been where you want to go!

The Cosmic Slop Festival has Internships in the following areas:

Administrative

- Correspondence, Filing, Meeting Transcription

- Scheduling & Calender Maintenance, Travel Arrangements

Social & Web Marketing

- Updating Social Networking Sites

- Website Updates & Contact

- Various Media Contact & Correspondence

Volunteer Coordinator

- Discovering new market to tap for volunteer recruitment

- Developing volunteer training/information manual

- Assisting in training volunteers

- Assisting in volunteer assignments and schedules

- Recruiting volunteers to man special events throughout the fiscal year

ALL POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Seeking enthusiastic interns who are self-motivated, have a great attitude, are hardworking, and eager to learn.

Excellent verbal, written, organizational and interpersonal skills are a must.

ATTENTION TO DETAIL A MUST!

Preferably a business or communications major -- however other majors will certainly be considered.

Must have transportation

Basic computer knowledge of Microsoft Office a MUST.

Knowledge of Photoshop is AWESOME!

Must love music!
