Continuum Property Management manages Belmar, a modern mixed-use development in Lakewood. Belmar is a premier destination for entertainment and shopping in the Denver Metro area with over 80 stores and restaurants, offices, residential buildings and seasonal events. The center is only six years old and is continually growing and gaining recognition in the marketplace. One strong area of marketing for the center is through the events as they tend to drive new traffic and help the stores and restaurants gain exposure.

Festival Background:
The Festival Italiano has become Belmar's signature annual event, driving approximately 80,000 guests to Belmar during the weekend event. The event features over 50 Italian food, wine and artisan vendors, authentic Italian entertainment, live music and dancing, a children's grape stomp, wine seminars, chef demonstrations, bocce tournament and more. Currently in the 8th year, the event has grown to five city blocks and a central plaza. The 2011 dates are Saturday and Sunday, September 10 and 11.

Internship Description:
The Festival Italiano event intern will be responsible for assisting the Belmar Marketing team in all areas of the event including, but not limited to the following areas:
Supply inventory, purchasing and organization
Assemble and deliver media gift baskets
Delivering posters and marketing materials
Coordinating entertainment, volunteers and vendors during event
Assisting to manage the Belmar Information Booth prior to and during the event
Misc. errands and pickups for the event
Please note: Some physical labor is required for this position.
This internship is a NON-PAID position, however, any mileage traveled to buy supplies or deliver materials will be reimbursed. If there is a way to obtain school credit we ask that the intern acquire the appropriate paperwork and we will complete as necessary.
The hours are flexible but we would expect a minimum of 20 hours/week starting immediately continuing through September 16th. Intern is required to be on site for the event Friday, September 9 - Sunday, September 11 with approximately 10 hours on Friday, 11 hours on Saturday and 10 hours on Sunday.
