This is an immediate for-hire part-time to full-time position (to evolve to full-time position after successful completion of trial period). We're on the hunt for out-of-the-box people amazing people (we're open to current college students, entry-level, recent graduates, and 1-2 plus years of experience) to join a hyper growth web-based company (founded in 2002) whose biggest problem right now is handling our growth. We have various web properties, including Makemeheal.com (1.5 million plus monthly visitors with over 50,000 products) and we are launching various new ventures in the e-commerce and social networking space in the health, beauty, and fashion industries (see full specs below).

This multi-faceted position focuses heavily on researching new products and product categories to add to our e-commerce websites, identifying companies that make such products, negotiating the deals for procuring such products, and then writing the product descriptions and entering/changing information on products. The tempo of the job is super-fast paced, requires ability to juggle numerous complex projects, long work hours, and a highly entrepreneurial spirit. This one of a kind opportunity will bestow upon you exposure to a high level of deals with major, world-class companies in the healthcare, beauty, and fashion industries. Moreover, the position entails working closely with the CEO (a seasoned entrepreneur from Wharton School) and management on a wide variety of business development projects that touch upon every area of business, including marketing, business development, operations, merchandising, and sales. We're still in such an early growth that you can be a trail-blazing pioneer and feel the company before you is the one you're creating. This position gives someone with very little experience more responsibility than most industry professionals don't even get till after 3-5 years. Our philosophy is to train intensively and empower our team players and throw at them the hardest possible challenges we can conceive. This position is for those who want to work at an extraordinary level in a company where you can make a difference and have meaning in your work, and to work on things that others call dreams. This is the single best position to get training as a business person and to move to mid and upper management at the company. This position is ideally suited for entrepreneurial individuals seeking to grow within the company for the long-term.

POSITION SPECS

The position involves the following responsibilities and many more:

Identifying products and new product categories to distribute via web properties

Contacting companies and negotiating deals for distribution of products with major and up-and-coming companies (approximate deal flow is 30-40 companies per week

Conducting daily research on market trends from around the world for purpose of spotting and sourcing new products and categories to acquire for our website properties.

Writing product descriptions, data entry for product distribution deals that have closed.

Working closely with CEO & Management on business development projects.

Setting up and overseeing operations involved with distribution of products.

Participating in marketing strategy of new product introductions to the website, including email marketing, search engine optimization (SEO), search engine marketing (SEM), social network marketing (facebook, youtube, twitter), online promotions/coupons/contests, mobile marketing, and many more strategies in marketing.

Work in many facets of the business including, marketing, business development & strategy, operations, sales.

COMPENSATION

During trial period pay will be hourly and once full-time will transition to a salaried position. There is very attractive compensation and other potential performance-based bonus sweeteners including stock options for long-term players.
