Full Time Position: Business Management CPA/Accountant - Sherman Oaks

About Us: We are a CPA/Business Management firm with approximately 30 employees servicing entertainment based clientele.

About the Position: This is a full-time position for someone who is extremely detailed and enjoys a fast pace environment. What this means is that the ideal candidate with have many of the following characteristics:

An active CPA license, including an Accounting/Finance Degree with an Audit background.

A person who possesses strong analytical and organization abilities. Must have the ability to use critical thinking skills to provide analysis and input while troubleshooting "red flag" items as they arise.

Must have the ability to perform quality control procedures, audit accounts for abnormal activity and communicate potential issues to Management.

A person who multi tasks well.

An energetic, self-starter who excels in interpersonal communications

A person that possesses top computer skills, including Word, Excel, Datafaction, Outlook, Quickbooks and Internet functions.

Must be able to meet deadlines with accuracy and timeliness

Typical work day: In order to prepare for the interview, here is what much of your day will look like:

Accountant will perform a variety of functions as they relate to the accounting and reconciliation of various accounts for the firm and for our clients.

1. Prepare timely reconciliations of bank statements and investment accounts on a monthly basis.

2. Download and prepare routing sheets for statements and accurately file into Document (virtual fileroom).

3. Quality Control while utilizing Master Control Sheets, updating, deleting and adding information in order to maintain current checklists and reporting procedures.

4. Bookkeeping functions, utilizing Quickbooks.

In addition to the daily activities, there will be many projects assigned that will challenge you. Our firm operates in a paperless environment and utilizes state of art software and equipment. You will be reporting directly to the Supervisor of the Department and Management.
