Entertainment Marketing Internship

Position Type: Internship, Part Time, Commission, School Credit Available

Duration: Minimum 10 weeks, longer duration acceptable, 5-10 hours a week depending on your schedule.

NOTE: All the work for this internship could be done at home electronically over the Internet and there are no office hours.

Description: Love watching online videos? Want to get into the entertainment industry? Want to VJ your own video channel and make money from it? ShortForm (www.shortform.com) is a Silicon-Valley web entertainment company that lets users run their own entertainment business by curating their favorite online videos into channels, sharing them with their friends and the world, and making money based on the performance of their channels. You can read about us in the TechCrunch article here: http://techcrunch.com/2011/03/31/video-curation-is-growing-up-shortform-hits-one-million-visitors We're looking to hire marketing interns, with commission, from each major university across the country to expand and promote this business.

Roles:

Promoting your ShortForm channel with your friends and social circles on Facebook, Twitter, via email, etc. Note: The videos in your channel do not need to be created by you and can be any YouTube video that you like.

Building up accounts on social networking sites such as Digg, StumbleUpon, Reddit, and promoting your ShortForm channel on them.

The interns will earn money every week in proportion to their channel's weekly views and viewing time.

Contributing new ideas and finding existing bugs within the website.

Can work from home with daily email communication and weekly phone conference with the headquarter

Time flexible, 5 to 10 hours a week depending on your schedule

Requirements:

A strong passion for online videos, web technology, and social networking sites

Experienced with the various social networking sites (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube)

Strong dedication to work and self-starter personality

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Reliable, deadline-oriented, hardworking, risktaking, outgoing
