Ology.com - an entertainment and lifestyle website for twentysomethings -- is seeking winter marketing interns to promote the site and increase brand awareness. Candidates will work closely with the head of marketing and chief editor. They are expected to help as needed, both in and outside the office.

Office hours are 10am-6pm Monday through Friday. Interns should be available to work in the office at least 3 days per week.

This is an unpaid internship; however, the role will be expanded to a part-time or full-time position based on performance. Interns will have the opportunity to attend sports, fashion, music, and screen events and serve as the Ology representative at various entertainment events.

Marketing Intern duties include:

1. Updating Ology's social media accounts, including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Digg, Forum posting, etc.

2. Daily blog posts in niche areas to attract new users to the Ology community

3. Improving the site's ranking with search engine optimization (SEO) techniques

a. Google Trends

b. Keyword Research

c. Google News Research

4. Creating and tracking Facebook advertisements that promote site articles

5. Brainstorming and executing online and offline marketing strategies

6. Analyzing and reporting site traffic data

7. "Celebrity" outreach for guest features and partnerships

8. Website beta testing and error reporting to engineers

9. Email marketing campaigns

Qualifications:

1. Strong understanding of several social media sites

2. Blogging experience preferred

3. Experienced in growing and continually engaging a diverse Internet audience

4. Creative, out-of-the box thinker

5. Strong analytical, writing, and math skills

6. Able to work independently and proactively

7. Team player

8. Outgoing, social, and ambitious

9. Previous internship, study, or work experience in marketing a plus

10. Familiarity with site traffic tools (google analytics, mixpanel, sitemeter) a plus

11. Must have a high school diploma

12. Basic knowledge of video and photo editing software (not required)
