Social Media Marketing Internship - Paid (Scottsdale (Near Old Town))

If you are a talented writer and can navigate your way through the world of social media, Mervea Consulting Group has an internship for you. We believe in working hard, but we also believe that creativity and learning happen in a fun and collaborative environment. Our interns will learn how to build and market a successful online brand as our properties are already successful partners with major online networks, including MTV and Break Media. We provide online marketing and consultation, as well as own and oversee our own web properties.

Hours: Approximately 15 hours per week

Location: Combination of at-home and on-site work at 7525 E. Scottsdale Rd.

Number of Openings: 4

Payment: $8 per hour

What Interns Do:

Create content for our web sites including writing articles, posting video, posting photos and other graphics, as needed. The primary genre is humor/entertainment.

Promote our web sites using social media, including Facebook, Twitter, and Google +, as well as any other appropriate platforms

Build a social media following on appropriate platforms

What Interns Learn:

Interns can expect this to be, first and foremost, a learning experience. Specifically, you will learn:

How to write for the internet. Interns receive regular and timely feedback on articles they write, with coaching, as needed.

How to leverage social media in marketing.

How to analyze content for appropriateness for individual clients.

Our interns also work closely with our internship coordinator to not only learn and get feedback, but to discuss how to parlay this internship experience into future career opportunities. This may include assistance with writing resumes and cover letters, as well as analyzing the job market for potential opportunities when the internship ends.

Desired Skills/Qualifications: Good writing skills with some experience writing articles. Interest and knowledge of pop culture. Web savvy with working knowledge of social media.
