The Sheppard is a Branded Entertainment and Alternative Marketing agency located in Los Angeles. Our company successfully provides our clients with services in the areas of Brand & Entertainment partnerships, video & TV production, live productions, and viral communication through traditional and non-traditional marketing avenues.

Currently, we are working on an international marketing project and have developed an internship program for language majors or multi-lingual students. We are seeking students who are bilingual or multilingual in English and in any of the following languages: Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, French, Russian, German, Japanese, Cantonese, Mandarin, Korean. You will gain hands-on experience in translation ranging from video translation to written translation. As an intern, you would have an integral role in the project and will be highly involved in the translation of creative user-generated stories submitted from everyday individuals from around the world.

Requirements (an interest in marketing is not required) :

Translate videos and written stories from native language to written English

Available to work from home (videos are accessible online)

Fluent (written and spoken) in English and one or more of the following languages: Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, French, Russian, German, Japanese, Cantonese, Mandarin, Korean

Qualifications:

Computer savvy and proficient in computer applications such as Microsoft word and Quicktime player

Pays special attention to detail (ie: spelling, etc.)

Strong background in writing and experience in translations (professional experience not required)

Good listener (pertains to listening to videos in native tongue)

Flexible on times and hours

Reliable, honest, consistent, professional and easily accessible via e-mail

This position is for applicants who can begin as soon as possible and the internship will last for 3 months (with option to extend) and school credit is available.
