New TV production company looking for 2-3 interns to help with pre through post production on a slate of pilot presentations. Our company is headed by two experienced TV producers with numerous credits (mostly in reality, doc-style).
This is a great opportunity to break into the business, showcase your talent and gain experience in the entertainment industry. This is unpaid, part or full time -- one to five days a week. Our goal is to find regular staff members from our intern pool as we get shows on the air. Duties primarily include producer support, casting assistance, developing pitches, developing show story lines, editorial assistance, setting meetings, and occasional runs, mail, etc. Candidates should be punctual, detail oriented, and able to multi-task and focus!
Having your own laptop (Mac) a plus, and familiarity with our preferred suite of organization software is a must: Apple Mail, iCal, Address Book, Basecamp, Backpack, YouTube, Tumblr, Vimeo & Facebook. Knowledge of more advanced programs is a plus, but not mandatory (e.g. Final Cut Pro, Photoshop, After Effects, etc). Ideally, interns live on the West Side of Los Angeles (we're in Santa Monica), and have a valid driver's license and a car.
This is a hands-on position with real substantive creative and organizational work in TV development and production. You won't be just getting coffee (cuz we don't drink it) but maybe the occasional raw food shake. Healthy minds, healthy people and healthy attitudes please apply.
