American Composers Forum of Los Angeles (ACF-LA) seeks a part-time Development/Office Assistant. Job responsibilities include heavy emailing, filing, attending board meetings and taking minutes, sending out grant proposals, publicity, and event planning. Intern reports to the president of ACF-LA and gives weekly updates to her on their progress.
Skills Preferred:

-Excellent phone etiquette

As one of the most innovative non-profit composer service organizations in Los Angeles, ACF-LA is dedicated to supporting composers and the advancement of new musical works in Southern California. Our mission is to provide Southern Californian composers, at all stages of their careers, with valuable resources for professional and artistic development. ACF-LA also provides musicians with opportunities to perform for audiences in communities where cultural events are rare, and engage new audiences in the creation, performance, and enjoyment of their music. If hired, you will be working in a shared office with Red Hen Press, a non-profit publishing company.
A stipend will be awarded dependent on hours worked per week (not to exceed 20). The rate is dependant on experience but will be at least $8/hour.
