Growing Catering Company and Event Center is looking to fill a Catering Salesperson position. Must like challenges, fast pace and being part of our team family! We seek hungry persons who are looking for rewards, strong, healthy and outgoing who can keep up with our growth!
-Must have 2 to 3+ years in catering and/or hotel experience. Persons that are well connected is a plus!
-Make outgoing sales calls, conduct site tours, attend trade shows (some out of state), Chamber events, extensive networking, and develop creative marketing techniques.
-Spend 50-60% out of office time by managing and developing new relationships and accounts with local clients and area businesses, and venues.
-Follow established sales policies and procedures.
-Achieve and exceed monthly and annual goals.
-Represent Company in professional manner with community, vendors, customers, and staff.
-Experience in event planning, writing up proposals, contracts, rental, buffet and sit-down meals, client follow-up, and menu planning.
-Must be well organized, outgoing personality, and the ability to lead and communicate with clients and staff.
-Computer knowledge of word, outlook and property management system.
-Comprehensive knowledge of market positions, pricing and rate structures, sales strategies, booking trends, and forecasting.
