The Northeast Texas Chapter -- Fort Worth Office of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is seeking a seasoned Development Director with strong fundraising experience. This chosen candidate will also be responsible for managing the Foundation's Great Strides walk program and other priority events such as a Concert, 65 Roses Wine and Food Extravaganza events and collaboratively recruiting sponsors for Cycle. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the growth of volunteers and revenue pertaining to fundraising events.
Responsibilities include: recruit and cultivate committee volunteers, sponsors and event participants, build and manage volunteer core, provide strategic direction and oversee all aspects of fundraising plans pertaining to assigned events. Ideal candidate must have 5 years non-profit experience with a proven successful track record of salesmanship and a full range of special events/fundraising experience. Candidate must be used to working with large fundraising budgets. The position requires strong organizational and networking skills, the ability to work on various events simultaneously and a strong eye for detail. Chosen candidate will be required to have a fiscal understanding of (ie. Developing & managing budgets) and experience working with revenue and expenses. Outside sales experience helpful!
Candidate will develop relationships with funders in both the corporate community and with CF families. You will solicit funds from the corporate sector through written communications and face-to-face meetings. In addition, candidate will manage events from the earliest planning stages through implementation and ensure that each event meets the highest standards set by the Foundation.
