Friendsview is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Director of Community Life to create and oversee a new department and serve as part of the senior administrative team. This is a unique position responsible for enhancing the lives of community members, and the broader community through the development and administration of a comprehensive, person-centered life-enrichment approach which includes (1) wellness programming and resources (2) amenities and programs that enhance personal lifestyle choice including life-long learning and leisure/social opportunities, and (3) service opportunities that contribute to the greater good, bring personal fulfillment and engage residents in leadership roles.
Key responsibilities will be to oversee community-wide Life Wellness programming which actively engages community members in the process of identifying and designing healthy lifestyle choices that encompass the "six dimensions of wellness" in a manner that upholds personal choice and preferences; to equip and support resident engagement encouraging meaningful, purpose-filled resident-led initiatives, programs and activities that align with the passions, talents and interests of the participants; and to initiate and build relationships and partnerships with George Fox University and other educational, service and religious organizations with the goal of bringing added resources and opportunities to our community
Qualified applicants should hold a Bachelor's Degree in Social Services or related field; advanced degree preferred, with experience in team building, relationship development, and event planning/activities programming. Three years of supervisory experience. Degrees or certifications in wellness and/or fitness or related health field a plus.
Full-time with an annual salary of $66,700 along with health care benefits after 90 days, 403B retirement plan and paid vacation. This is a professional/exempt position, which will require the person to be available for occasional odd hours or weekends. Must be supportive of the shared values of the community and our faith-based mission.
