Prominent, long time established, nationwide veterans' non-profit organizations seek highly motivated and talented candidates for a position with many, multifaceted responsibilities.
Management and operational duties in a very broad range, include: program development and outreach, generation of earned media, communication with Capitol Hill Offices, research and implementation of fundraising operations, event planning and audience building, office management and logistical coordination for national operations, including a leadership role in the upcoming national party conventions.
The position requires strong skills in strategic planning, as well as a mentality to accomplish the hands on, follow up details, that might otherwise require three people.
The successful candidate will be energetic, tenacious, well organized, detail-oriented, have excellent communication and computer skills, thrive on problem solving in unstructured situations, able to live by their wits, willing to work long hours for competitive compensation, deriving great satisfaction for a positive cause and be available now.
All three, political, media and fundraising experience, are an absolute must. BA required; graduate degree preferred, with a minimum of a decade of related professional experience.
Operate out of national headquarters in historic Falls Church, Virginia.
