Organization: San Francisco Performances is celebrating its 32nd Season as the Bay Area's leading independent, non-profit performing arts presenter. With an annual budget of over $3 million, the organization presents internationally-acclaimed and emerging performing artists in the disciplines of chamber music, vocal and instrumental recitals, jazz, and contemporary dance. San Francisco Performances is also a leader in performing arts education, with outreach and audience development activities serving over 12,000 students and community members annually. San Francisco Performances offers a relaxed team-oriented environment with a permanent, full-time staff of ten assisted by consultants in the areas of fundraising, events.

Position: San Francisco Performances is seeking a full-time Donor Relations and Events Coordinator to manage day-to-day tasks involving event planning, donor relations and benefits administration. This role also coordinates institutional giving efforts and assists with Board meetings and communications. Primary responsibilities include:

Planning and implementing all donor events including the Annual Gala

Serve as first point of contact to donors, answering donor hotline, fielding donor questions concerning benefits and events, and welcoming guests at event check-in

Execute all processes relating to gifts/pledge receipts including entering gifts in donor database (Tessitura), timely (at least 3 times a week) acknowledgement of gifts and maintaining donor files.

Administer donor benefits including fulfilling complimentary ticketing requests, generating program listings, insuring accurate sponsor crediting; and insuring eligible donors receive appropriate event invites

Steward corporate giving program; identify and solicit corporate sponsors. Secure corporate grants/sponsorships particularly around annual gala support

Maintain annual institutional funding calendar and prepare and mail proposals/LOIs etc. (grant writing is not required)

Assist with Board needs including arranging and taking minutes at meetings, sending out announcements and tracking RSVPS

Position reports to the Director of Development and the Associate Director of Development.

Requirements: 2-3 years experience in a support role, events experience mandatory. Attention to detail, a must. Excellent phone manner. Proficiency in Word, Excel, and database management. Knowledge of Tessitura a big plus. Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends. Desired qualifications include a high level of interest in the development profession, a performing arts background, a sense of diplomacy, and a sense of humor.
