The Enterprise Architect (EA) is responsible for providing leadership from an enterprise-wide perspective in the design, review, selection and implementation of solutions to most effectively realize business strategies. The Enterprise Architect is key part of the IT strategy and planning process and is responsible for: a) technology strategy, direction, and usage, b) solution architecture for strategic initiatives, c) IT architecture to support business architecture, d) technology investment planning, and e) IT infrastructure leadership.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop and communicate strategies, guidelines, standards, and solutions

Lead the technology infrastructure development, deployment, operations and support functions within the business.

Provide analysis, design, technology selection, risk assessment, review, and governance services to strategic development projects as they relate to Prime's enterprise architecture requirements

Perform "program" level architecture activities, deliverables, and oversight for multi-year, multi-project strategic business initiatives. Work to ensure overall IT strategic architecture is realized in project level solutions.

Inform business and IT leaders of opportunities and constraints presented by the organization's current and potential architecture and capabilities. Actively manage and communicate the enterprise architecture strategy and techniques via creation and maintenance of architecture Blueprints and Roadmaps

Research, introduce, and transition new technology into the organization

Manage exceptions to standards to help reach corporate objectives

Bring and drive an enterprise perspective to all initiatives

Provide the central contact point for technology-related issues and include other team members and IT subject matter experts as appropriate

Ensure that projects comply with the enterprise architecture

Contribute to the ongoing enhancements and evolution of the Architecture Practice

Keep abreast of technology advances and issues across all enterprise architecture domains at a high-level

Assume delegated ad hoc tasks from the CIO

Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

10+ years overall IT experience with 5+ years direct experience working as an Enterprise Architect.

Minimum 5 years' experience with in design, development, implementation and support of infrastructure solutions at an enterprise level.

Minimum 5 years' experience in design and implementation of infrastructure technologies

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Advanced degree (MIS) preferred

In-depth knowledge of application, data management, infrastructure, middleware, and security architectures

Knowledgeable in software engineering languages, tools, and platforms; proficient in new and emerging technologies, particularly with N-tier architectures (J2E and .NET based preferred) and Messaging solutions including ESB, Web Services, and Event Based architectures

Experience as a senior level architect working on significant enterprise change initiatives

Demonstrated experience leading teams as well as creating individual contributions/deliverables.

Demonstrated experience presenting architecture concepts and goals to IT leaders and Individual Contributors

Strong analytical skills (macro and micro) and process orientation

Strong self-management skills in multiple-priority, high ambiguity situations

Ability to proactively communicate at multiple levels: executive to individual contributor

Ability to communicate via words and pictures

Comfortable with resolving conflicting viewpoints and achieving consensus

Collaborative work-style

Strong sense of personal accountability for results
