Salary: 50k + 5k year end bonus
Our agency client is seeking an Event Manager to lead the planning of corporate meetings, events and tradeshows including managing registration details and processes, attendee lists, creating BEOs, schedules and vendor coordination. This person will work with hotels, venues and various vendors to find, negotiate and contract event space and arrange details such as room blocks, special event functions, event promotion and follow up. This person will also handle the planning, logistics and coordination of all details associated with our major annual trade shows. Preparing budgets, timelines and prompt follow up reports are required. This position entails 50% travel and on-site management responsibilities.
The ideal candidate will have a BS or BA. Working in a fast-paced environment, candidate will need to be extremely detail oriented and organized in order to manage multiple projects, events and deadlines at the same time. Experience working in a corporate environment with VP level managers and customers requires good communication, listening and customer service skills with the ability to respond quickly to requests. Computer experience in Microsoft Word and Excel required (Access a plus). Three to five years experience in corporate meeting/event or tradeshow planning required. Additionally, virtual tradeshow experience a plus.
