The Light Group has an opening in our Sales Department. We are looking for an experience candidate to be our new Corporate Event Service Manager.
Corporate Event Service Managers are responsible for all aspects of planning a meeting or special event for the Light Group. They will develop and maintain accounts by ensuring customer satisfaction before, during, and after the event. They will help build and maintain relationships with the company's clients. Service Managers will be responsible for all amenities and accommodations at the event. The will ensure that client needs are met in a way that improves customer satisfaction and increases profitability for the Light Group.
Essential Job Functions:
Plan, direct, and coordinate events at multiple venues and assists in the selection of menu items
Arranges for facilities or equipment
Communicates customer needs to the appropriate personnel
Maintains files for each event, closes event, and writes follow-up correspondence
Reiterates specified details of events in contract form
Negotiates BEOs with clients including menus, beverage, setup and services, and party size
Prepared to resolve any issues, complaints, and problems to ensure quality events
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years experience with servicing events of 20 or more clients
Experience creating and executing BEO orders in catering and sales environment
A demonstrated record of achieving objectives within time, cost and profitability parameters through an understanding of the sales process
Must be organized, have a sense of urgency, develop rapport with customers, multi-task, sharp with a professional personality
Ability to interface effectively with operating management at all levels of the company by virtue of keen business insight, professional competence, personal integrity, and strong communication skills
Ability to work non-traditional hours including most holidays
Knowledge of Food and Beverage etiquette, member and guest relations, and service standards
Ability to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations during busy periods
