Description of desired candidate --

Talented, experienced, and dependable individual who excels in handling pressure, challenges, problem solving and execution inherent in a fast pace entertainment hospitality environment.

Description of Venue --

A brand new 250 person bottle service ultra lounge/nightclub (opening in March) owned and operated by seasoned nightlife industry professionals. The venue is located in the heart of the West Village in Manhattan and will operate between 4 and 5 nights per week (from 10:00 pm -- 4:00 am and occasionally on other nights and earlier times for special events)

Report --

Directly to ownership

Duties -

Staff Recruiting, Selecting, Development, Training, Scheduling, Counseling,

Evaluating, and Disciplining of staff

Establish staff strategy, enforces policies and procedure

Motivate staff and manage incentive programs

Management of 20+ employees

Preparation of emergency management and contingency planning

Operations -

General Management of operations

Create procedures , methods and Implement general strategies

Maintain Management and service standards

Control labor costs, Process payrolls and maintain records

Preparation of work schedules

Assist in direction, development and implementation of programming

Coordinate and allocate resources

Operate within budgetary guidelines

Oversight on purchasing, supplies and equipment

Manage equipment, facilities and resources

Responsibility for bottom line

Reporting -

Create daily/nightly reports and records

Create budgets and work on forecasting

Qualities -

Critical thinking and problem solving ability, exercise judgment and maintain composure

Ability to communicate with guests and staff

Strong leadership skills

Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously,

Ability to lead others, delegate, follow up and make accurate decisions

Strong Service orientated background

Hands on and proactive approach to business

Requirements -

5 year background in Nightlife, Entertainment Venue and Special Event management

Able to handle celebrities, entitled trust-funders and dilettantes

Hands on Operational skills

Strong leadership abilities

Strategic skill set for hospitality

Experience with POS and back office reporting

Proficient in Microsoft office

Knowledge of profitability analysis and budgeting, cost controls, payroll

Knowledge of State and local Laws as it applies to Liquor, Labor and health code regulations

Ability to work Afternoon/Evenings, late nights and weekends
