Administrative/Marketing Assistant

Mid-America Festivals, producers of the Minnesota Renaissance Festival and Trail of Terror, is interviewing candidates for an entry-level Administrative Assistant.

The Admin Assistant position includes administrative tasks as well as, marketing, promotions, and special events duties. Projects may include, but are not limited to:

1. Administrative: answering phones, paper work, writing letters and emails, research, arranging corporate travel and errands.

2. Marketing: Assisting the marketing department with projects as needed, Projects may include, Trade advertising, event planning, research, writing and editing press releases, and more.

3. Secondary/Special Events: Publicity events (parades, press party, character appearances, etc.) and assisting with the execution of special events on site at the Renaissance Festival and Trail of Terror.

4. Miscellaneous: Maintaining databases, ticket distribution, and incentive program.

Additional information:

Skills required: written and oral communication skills, multi-tasking, organization. Event planning experience preferred by not required.

Course Work: Marketing, business, advertising, public relations, communications or sales. Basic computer skills necessary. Bachelors Degree helpful.

Hours: Full-time. Office hours are M-F, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Some Nights and Weekends required
