DEVELOPMENT AND FUNDRAISING ASSOCIATE

The ALS Association, Greater Sacramento Chapter is now recruiting for a part time, 30 hour per week Development and Fundraising Associate. If you have experience in sales, marketing, fundraising, event planning + a compassionate heart we'd love to talk with you.

The ALS Association, Greater Sacramento Chapter is a not for profit Association that focuses on providing compassionate care and services to ALS patients and their caregivers. The role of the Development and Fundraising Associate is to ensure these vital programs remain funded. They ensure this through practical, process driven fundraising efforts.

The position does not include health benefits. $11 per hour with the possibility of advancement as funding allows.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires a high level of confidence, enthusiasm and the ability to cultivate relationships.

Must be comfortable soliciting donations from the community and ask for donations of in-kind contributions.

Must be able to prepare proposal packages, as well as present them to prospects.

Excellent writing skills.

Highly organized; ability to plan and meet deadlines.

Enthusiasm and 'can do' attitude a must.

High aptitude with computers. Confident with word processing, spreadsheets, and database management programs such as Excel, Access or Convio, Publisher, QuickBooks, Microsoft Office.

Willing and able to work part weekends, holidays, and evenings.

Willing and able to work outdoors for outreach events and community awareness.

Ability and willingness to do cold call solicitations for special event donations.
