GENERAL MANAGER
The General Manager is responsible for the sustained success, growth, and overall asset management of the restaurant as measured by total revenue and net income in relation to budgeted goals and owner's objectives. The General Manager is accountable for all aspects of front and back-of-house activities including but not limited to: administrative functions and kitchen management. It is his/her responsibility to meet or exceed each customer's expectations of J BLACK'S experience by maintaining the highest standards of food and beverage quality, exceptional value and superior service. A J BLACK'S General Manager adheres to company standards while exercising an enthusiastic style of management that conveys a strong sense of ownership.
MANAGER
The Manger assists the GM in attaining budgeted goals and building sales. In addition, he or she maintains standards for food and beverage quality and atmosphere while building positive customer relationships through running floor shifts, touching tables and meeting company standards. They also assist with purchasing, receiving, storage, inventory management, controlling monthly costs, and they work with management team to implement marketing programs. The Manager supervises both front and back-of-house employees through staff training and development.
KITCHEN MANAGER
The Kitchen Manager assumes overall responsibility for all kitchen operations including controlling food and labor costs, adhering to J BLACK'S standards, developing and training staff and meeting budget. They work with management team in purchasing, inventory management and staffing issues. The KM also develops some specials and maintains cleanliness and maintenance of the kitchen area and equipment. This position requires an individual with a high level of experience, commitment and responsibility.
MARKETING EVENTS MANAGER
The Marketing and Events manager is responsible for planning and implementing annual signature events, generating revenue through booking special events & ensuring all guests' expectations are met. The Marketing/Events Manager is also required to implement an aggressive marketing strategy, cultivate media partnerships & develop relationships with businesses, organizations, non-profit organizations and individuals to further generate revenue.
This individual must be a self-starter, excel in communication and posses the ability to creatively and aggressively market a new business. This position requires an individual with restaurant experience, strong ties to the Houston community and a drive to succeed.
