The Itern-Pograms Asistant position is ideal for someone who can multi-task, prioritize and handle various responsibilities in an efficient and effective manner. The Intern-Programs Assistant will play a role in the following areas of operation: volunteer and CSR activity coordination, strategic partner planning, sales support, event coordination and support, along with other activities as needed. Below is a brief description for each of the various areas where assistance is needed:
Volunteer and CSR Activity Coordination:
Designs, plans and directs volunteer and CSR programs. Oversees the recruiting, training, and scheduling of volunteer workers and CSR activity groups. Ensures that the activities of the volunteers meet the needs of the organization.
Strategic Partner Planning:
Initiates contact with potential partners and develops long-term relationships. Responsible for managing the administrative activities of the program including identifying donor and donee sources, acquiring funding, setting program policies and objectives, and allocating resources.
Sales Support:
Manages activities for sales support function. Assists with implementation of promotional events and interacts with customers to increase sales volume. Leads tours and performs other operational functions in support role.
Event Coordination and Support:
Various events will occur at our recycling facility each year, and the intern is expected to play a role in the coordination and support for all events.
General Information:
The ideal candidate will rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Must be professionally-minded and excel at relationship development. The intern will perform a variety of tasks, both directing and implementing the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Reports to Western Regional Director.
This position will start as a part-time, volunteer position capacity and then will evolve into a full-time, paid position. Salary will depend on experience. College degree preferred.
