Compass Northwest, a division of the Synchronous Aerospace Group, has an immediate opening for a Lean Manager at their Kent, Washington facility.

The Lean Manager is responsible for the following; additional duties may be assigned.

Develop and execute Lean event plans to deliver identified cost improvements compatible with business objectives

Develop and execute plans to deliver Lean assessment score improvements compatible with business objectives

Drive a culture of Lean throughout the organization

Schedule and facilitate Lean events

Train and develop employees in Lean expertise and relevant tools and skills

Develop and implement 5S improvement plans compatible with business objectives

Co-ordinate, administer and audit regular 5S and lean assessment reviews

Conduct activities such as root cause analysis, data analysis (using established 6 sigma techniques), QFD, VSM, etc as appropriate

Drive process improvements for direct and indirect functions (manufacturing and office)

Develop charts and presentations demonstrating effective lean planning (including projected and actual cost benefits and lean assessment score benefits), and demonstrating performance to plan.

Drive inventory reduction improvements compatible with business objectives

Implement effective demand pull systems, such as Kanban, JIT and pull-model manufacturing

Minimum Requirements

HS Graduate or equivalent

College degree; engineering or related discipline preferred

7-10 years Lean experience in an aerospace environment

Additional Requirements

Master Black Belt preferred

Lean training and proficiency either through certification or proven experience.

Advanced proficiency in MS Office

MRP experience required

Excellent time-management and organizational skills required

Presentation skills

Data analysis skills
