Katalyst Public Relations, a boutique lifestyle PR and social media agency is seeking a part-time publicist with 1-3 years of experience to join our growing team in coastal North County, San Diego. This is a freelance/contract position with potential to expand to full-time.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of previous PR agency experience is required.
- Experience working with lifestyle, hospitality, culinary and non-profit clients.
- Experience with celebrity product placement and editorial product placements a plus.
- Established relationships with local San Diego media is preferred.
- In-depth understanding of social media including Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and LinkedIn.
- Previous experience managing social media campaigns.
- Successful track record securing editorial placements.
- Excellent writing and communications skills.
- Great time management skills and ability to prioritize.
- Extremely organized and able to manage several clients and projects at once.
Responsibilities:
- Drafting pitches, story ideas, press kit materials
- Press release writing
- Media and blogger relations
- Social media management
- Event planning and execution
- Client communication
- Manage agency interns
