Program Manager

The Program Manager will have many responsibilities. Duties the Program Manager will have will include but not be limited to:

I. Management

Manage scientific research areas

Manage project transitions including Rapid Technology Transition Initiatives, Science and Technology Demonstrations, and the HQ AF/SG9 Broad Agency Announcement

Manage cost, schedule and performance

Manage projects within assigned research areas.

Manage formal project/program management requirements, processes and support tools for the R&D programs

o integrate tools into planning processes, day-to-day operations, periodic review for decision making, and other special projects and events.

II. Assisting

Assist in developing and aligning strategic, business and execution plans

o developing requirements analysis and costing, with the organizational operating business strategy

Assist in the development of project management plans and schedules.

Assist in the review and assessment of presentations, and proposals, on new or revised technology and systems support services

Assist in technical reviews and make recommendations regarding assessment of vendor presentations and contract proposals on modernization efforts.

Assist in improving disease prevention, definitive patient care and treatment for all beneficiaries in non-deployed settings.

III. Providing

Provide day-to-day operational support to government leads.

Provide strategic and investment planning

Patient care during transport from point of injury to point of definitive care.

IV. Research

Research and technology development of techniques and technologies employed by medics during contingency operations.

Research and technology development to enhance, optimize and sustain AF personnel performance, through evaluating and mitigating health effects.

V. Knowledge

i. Submit documents/taskers in appropriate format.

ii. Submit trip reports and meeting summaries for external event.

iii. Ensure individual project documentation is developed/ maintained in format and consistent with format(s) prescribed by the government.

iv. Complete and submit monthly and quarterly status reports.

v. Ensure portfolios are aligned to a common goal and minimize duplication of effort across agencies.

VI. Have

i. Experience with Directed Energy Weapons (DEW) and environmental and occupational health hazards

ii. Hold and maintain a Secret Security clearance.

ii. Hold a Program Management Program (PMP) training certificate.

iii. Knowledgeable with standard AFMS software programs such as the Microsoft Office 2007 or 2010 Professional Suite.
