Job Summary:
The Project Manager plans and coordinates Custom events for 1105 Media clients. This is not an Operations or Marketing position: the Project Manager works with various departments within 1105 Media and freelancers to create a Custom event for each client that meets their marketing and lead generation objectives. This is a critical position in the Custom events team that determines the success or failure of each event; therefore, the Project Manager must own each event to manage it to completion and ensure that it accomplishes the client's goals.
Summary of Essential Job Functions:
Lead the planning and implementation of each event by defining project tasks and resource requirements
Act as sole point of contact between the client and 1105 Media
With sales and the client, define the project scope, goals and deliverables
Create schedule and timeline of project tasks
Use online project management software to track deliverables and guarantee tasks are completed on deadline
Solicit event location and logistics from internal Operations team
Facilitate weekly check-in calls between client, content provider, and 1105 team
Hire content development contractors
Constantly monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders, stepping in when necessary to move project along
Formulate contingency plans when projects do not go as planned
Track, reconcile and forecast expenses per event
Wrap up and report on performance post-event, using this information to improve future events
Work onsite at every to see that it proceeds smoothly and ensuring client satisfaction
Develop expertise in government technology market
