I am currently hiring for a Promotional Events Admin Asst. role for one of my clients ( a financial web services company) in the Central Austin area. The role is a contract role to begin ( duration of role hasn't been defined yet), but my client will be looking to hire a new Promotional Events Specialist ( the role that you'll be assisting) very soon, so this will be an opportunity to put your foot in the door for a long-term, full-time opportunity.

This role will be assisting the marketing team that is responsible for creating, executing, coordinating and doing the administrative follow-up for their marketing events.We are looking for someone with great office admin skills ( or a fantastic personality and the ability to sharpen their skills). This includes:

Marketing experience or event planning experience is preferred, but not a requirement

Being very detail-oriented and loving to do spreadsheets, use Excel and all other Microsoft Office packages

Has the ability to walk into a room of strangers and to build camaraderie quickly with those people

Is self-sufficient- there will be support, but not hand-holding

Did I mention the ability to connect with people and having a great personality?

A bachelors degree or work experience equivalent
