We have an opening for a Social Media Manager in our Detroit office.
Responsibilities:
Content development - pre-activation planning, pre-promotional communications, on-site content generation and post program insights.
Content generation is defined as writing and posting to Facebook, uploading images & video of the activations; tweeting & retweeting
Manage content approval process (may be different by brand)
Monitor JM produced social content and conversations
Collaborate across JM areas of expertise (account, creative, strategy, production)
Interact with Brand Creative agency and institute promotions/experiential social media solutions
Work with Brand Creative agency to ensure proper program reporting and develop learning's specific to the promotions/experiential space
Work with other corporate partners and agencies associated with the activation to coordinate social media efforts as appropriate
Maintain proficient knowledge of social media best practices
Explore and propose new/emerging social technologies /applications for inclusion in JM brand experience creative concepts
A thorough understanding of, and experience in, the motorsports space -- including:
o The major racing rules by series
o Understand the driver personalities and some basic personal information i.e. Married/single, kids/no kids,
o Work with corporate partners coordinate social media efforts
o Work with Race teams and driver representatives to coordinate social media efforts
Proficiencies in the use of the following devices:
o Smartphone
o Mac laptop
o HD still/video camera
o iPad2
Requirements:
College degree
4-6 plus years of marketing/ client services experience
Strong project management, organizational and communication skills
Experience in planning events, negotiating and giving presentations strongly preferred, especially in the auto industry.
Willing to Travel up to 35% and work weekends if necessary.
Some leadership experience or management of people a plus.
Demonstrated production competencies: client focus, accountability for results, team effectiveness, developing others, organizational sophistication, attention to detail, flexibility and professional confidence
