A high tech software company in Seattle is looking for a Tradeshow, Events and Conference Manager who will be responsible for planning, development, execution and measuring results of all event programs to assist in achieving corporate sales targets and marketing objectives.
Duties/Responsibilities
Work with Marketing Team and Sales Leadership to develop an annual tradeshow plan.
Work with Marketing Team and Sales Leadership on event preparation including strategies for exhibit booth demos, who should attend, what products should be featured, giveaways, etc in order to successfully execute the annual plan.
Coordinate tradeshows, conferences and events promoting corporate products and services including vendor management.
Responsible for planning and organizing on-site details of trade shows and conference programs including but not limited to A/V, room sets, F&B, signage, utilities, traffic flow and lead collection.
Act as a liaison with contractors, supplier partners and exhibitors
Manage the assessment, inventory and recommendation of items to purchase for and used for tradeshow giveaways and prizes
Provide customer service and support
Arrange speaker travel and housing
Point person for assigned shows overseeing all set-up, exhibitor move-in and on-site operational details
Key liaison between dept positions in pulling all information together and verifying the appropriate and required operation policies and procedures are documented, i.e., show bulletin, etc.
Create budgets for all assigned shows
Oversee and coordinate updates to exhibitor service section of show website
Review and approval of individual booth floor plans
Meticulous tracking and reporting of budgets, timelines, and execution of activities. Education/Skills/Environment
A bachelor's degree and four (4) to five (5) years of tradeshow operations/logistics experience, or similar combination of education and experience.
Excellent verbal presentation and writing skills
Strong problem solving skills
Ability to adhere to budget guidelines
Effectively handle multiple projects/demands
Strong interpersonal relationship skills
Ability to set and manage multiple priorities, use good judgment and demonstrate excellent problem solving skills.
Strong project management/organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
Proficiency in Excel, Word and Outlook; experience in html, database management software preferred.
Experience working with a CRM tool (for list segmentation) a plus.Working Conditions
Position primary works in office environment. Sitting for long period of time. Use of computer monitor and keyboard is required.
Travel Requirements
Ability to travel up to 30% or the time
