Vendor/Sponsorship Event Coordinator

Non-profit organization is seeking an Vendor/Sponsorship Event Coordinator to work closely with our Event Manager handling all government & business vendors/sponsors contracted. Must initiate contact with potential vendors/sponsors and conduct routine follow-up.A Must be able to procure advertisers and monetary vendors/sponsors for around the year events. Please be a responsible, energetic, detail-oriented, team player. you must be willing to work hard and able to take direction well. We need someone who is organized, self-motivated and comfortable with Word and Excel., Quickbooks is plus. This is a Part-Time position min. 20 hours/week M-F 9:00am-1:00pm but could lead to full-time this year, This is a permanent position and not seasonal, Small office with Huge projects.
Skills Required:

-Motivated Self Starter

-Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills

-Public Relations and Sales Experience

-Must be capable of displaying knowledge and understanding of the events purpose, goals and objective

-Pre-Established Relationships with Local and National companies and corporations helpful but not required

Initial hourly rate between $8-$15/H plus up to 20% commission of business paid vendors/sponsors.
This is a stellar opportunity to get your foot in the door of the Event Planning industry. This is in-office position 90% of the work is email or over the phone.
Experience is not a priority, but a sparkling attitude and service mindset are. Be prepared to hit the ground running and prove yourself!
