Job Description for: Maintenance Manager

SUMMARY:

This position is primarily responsible for maintaining Poo Free Parks' equipment, locations and storage facilities. Applicant MUST be a great driver and MUST be a self-starter, as they will not be heavily managed or regularly supervised. Success of your position will be determined by the results of your work as it is completed in a timely fashion.

Required: Clean driving record (no more than one ticket/accident in the last 36 months) and clean background check. No drug or alcohol dependencies whatsoever. Random drug testing required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

MAINTENANCE:

Wear company issued uniform and safety equipment 100% of the time.

Requires several hundred miles of city driving every week along a preset route. Must be okay with driving for a majority of your time while performing your job.

Patient driving is a must. Serious traffic violations in your driving history could prevent you from being accepted for this position. Driving infractions while working for the company can also result in termination of employment.

Install and perform weekly maintenance on all dispensers and signage for Poo Free Parks in a specific market area to be approximately within a 30 mile radius, 100% of the time by replacing or repairing worn or damaged parts.

Install and/or replace worn or damaged parts such as signs, labels, posts, mounting hardware, coupon dispensers, and bag dispenser stations.

Respond to all text messages/phone calls from area residents within 2 hours.

Repair and/or refill dispensers every week, while tracking progress using the Company issued iPhone and our Maintenance Manager iPhone App.

Repair and/or refill deficient dispensers within 24 hours of notification by parks management or the public through text or phone call.

Report dispenser maintenance information to direct Manager before and after performed maintenance through automated system reporting.

Distribute promotional materials as needed throughout the course of maintenance work.

Make suggestions to Company management on how to make the system more efficient.

Establish and maintain relationships with other agencies and organizations throughout the community to meet community needs and to ensure that services levels are maintained.

Research and analyze member or community needs to determine program directions and goals.

PROMTIONAL SUPPORT:

From time to time, you may be asked to attend a pet related event on evenings or weekends to promote Poo Free Parks and its sponsors.

Communicate with the public and educate them to our company and its program.

Distribute giveaways.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Inventory software; Spreadsheet software, Word Processing software, MS Outlook for email and calendar functions, and Apple iPhone.
