Summary: J Brand is seeking a Demand Planner within its Sales Planning group located at our headquarters near the garment district in Los Angeles and shall be responsible to: update and maintain sales forecasts for assigned product classes, using tools such as J Brand sell to, customer sell through, and shipments. Research and analyze customer fill rates. Through proactive means find ways that will avoid future shortages without increasing inventory. Maintain ongoing communication with Sales, Supply Planning, Product Management, Warehouse, and other internal departments. Ensure that the in-stock levels at customer accounts meet customer expectations.
J Brand is looking for someone who is highly organized, able to take and understand direction, has a keen sense to detail and accuracy, work pro-actively and efficiently by completing tasks and deadlines and maintains professionalism at all times. You must exercise and maintain a highly integral work ethic.
DEMAND PLANNER:
Develop and monitor unit plans, projections, inventory flow, promotional strategies and seasonal sell-off plans.
Develop, maintain and own the primary relationship with your assigned customers replenishment team.
Compare forecasts to financial budgets, and be able to explain variances.
Identify and explain channel inventory and forecast risks.
Monitor Channel Inventory and key customer in-stock levels, and ensure we are meeting customer goals.
Work closely with the Customers replenishment team to reduce channel inventory risks and develop plans to increase velocity of any skus identified as risks.
Analyze factors that impact demand for J Brand products (i.e. category trends, promotions and events, competitive products, and seasonality).
Work with Sales, Regional Product Management and Supply Planning to identify opportunities for meeting the demand in the event of capacity constraints.
Ability to make decisions with limited information but also able to synthesize large quantities of data to drive business decisions.
