bevello (www.bevello.com) is looking for a fashion buyer. Launched in July 2009, bevello is a contemporary women's fashion company, focused on providing an exceptional customer shopping experience. Offerings include a thoughtfully edited selection of apparel, shoes and accessories from established fashion forward collections, as well as, up-and-coming designers. Since 2009, bevello has grown to 12 store operations in North Carolina and Virginia, and is looking ahead to expand to other states.

Job Description: Fashion Buyer

Duties of the Fashion Buyer

Evaluating sales reports and analyzing them.

Reviewing pricing information and negotiating prices with the suppliers.

Transferring products from the designer and manufacturer to the hands of the consumers.

Devising marketing strategies to increase sales.

Anticipating customer preferences.

Tracking store profits regularly.

Supervising the creation of store and assisting the upper management.

Forecasting the trends and ensuring that the products or available in the store.

Ensuring the delivery of the suppliers to the customers.

Monitoring the best-selling pieces and ensuring that customers have access to them.

Responsibilities of the Fashion Buyer

Establishing the brand of the store by choosing best merchandising policies.

Analyzing the trends and advising the management in taking decisions.

Budgeting for the retail store merchandising.

Projecting the sales for the stores in various seasons..

Writing reports on the analysis.

Determining the types of clothing and accessories that will be in demand.

Attending fashion shows and reviewing samples.

Collaborating with other departments for merchandising tasks.

Involving in the marketing activities.

Ensuring the delivery of the orders.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Educational Qualification

A bachelor degree in retail, buying, fashion, business, management is mandatory.

Experience

To become a Fashion buyer, 3 to 5 years of prior experience is mandatory.

One can start a career as assistant buyer by working in retail stores.
