Fashion Design Intern (Midtown West)

We are a new women's contemporary fashion line (catering to sizes S-2X) that seeks to answer the call of what it means to be a modern global woman of the 21st Century. Our brand is inspired by and created for women who believe that every shape and size should be celebrated as beautiful. Each collection is born of the global perspective and responds to the call of what today's woman; whether in Laos, Lagos, or Los Angeles; needs to be edgy, unique, powerful, and always feminine.

We are seeking a resourceful candidate with a strong work ethic to carry out the following responsibilities:

- Manage, grow, and report on brand's social media outlets/ activity

- Assist with client email dissemination and general client development/ relations

- Support Creative Director in line development, sampling, production, marketing, and sales

- Carry out necessary errands in and around NYC (mainly in midtown and Brooklyn, NY)

- Provide ideas and feedback on brand development

The internship will require daily home-based maintenance of social media outlets and to 2-3 days/ week of in-person support. Please note that the design studio is located in Brooklyn, NY and production is based in the fashion district of NYC. The internship will provide a $20/ day stipend on days in which travel is required and school credit evaluation if needed. This position has the potential to grow into a paid position with the right candidate. We are looking for an intern with the following attributes: strong work ethic, intelligence, strong command of English (additional language is a plus), resourcefulness, sense of personal style, and positive energy. Design background is a plus.
