We are a growing contemporary womens wear label based in Budapest, Hungary seeking an international sales director. This is a rare opportunity for a highly capable and dynamic individual. The position will be based in the company's offices in Budapest but with extensive travel and much time spent in New York.
Tasks
planning and executing aggressive sales strategy in key markets (New York and Japan)
managing all direct buyer relations
managing all showroom relations
visiting annual trade-shows in key markets
planning and executing PR and marketing initiatives
overseeing online sales
Requirements (not negotiable)
3-5 years of showroom sales experience
solid knowledge of U.S. market
some experience with Japanese and key European markets
proven track record of growing sales and basic understanding of what it takes to grow a brand on the U.S. market
ability to work independently
outstanding communication skills
ability and willingness to spend up to 6 months of the year outside of the U.S.
Conditions
this position reports to the Managing Director
remuneration is negotiable - the package will be highly motivating and for the first year will largely depend on your ability to hit fair sales targets.
contracting for this position will be in April 2012 and work should be started as soon as possible thereafter.
