Internship: Fashion Accessory Showroom (Midtown West)

We are looking for college students with a passion for fashion to intern in our exciting multi-line accessories showroom located in NYC's historic Garment Center. This is a very unique internship, offering our new employees the opportunity to learn various aspects of the fashion industry.

We are looking for interns that focus specifically on:

Public Relations: Assist us in reaching out to trade and consumer fashion mags from Vogue to Lucky and beyond. Help us put our accessories into the hands of stylists, celebrities, broadcast journalists, bloggers and more to establish story and product placements. Think creative press releases, social media marketing, sample trafficking and trend research. If you've got a great eye and a gift of gab, this may be the perfect fit for you.

Sales: Sales is the most important skill to have in life, so how about we help you develop it? --All while you become familiarized with the world of design, development, and of course the art of the deal. Learn how to create a unique sales strategy, to research and pitch product to the accessories buyers at both boutiques and department stores alike. This is an amazing hands-on opportunity to work at trade shows, visit retailers, meet with buyers and present the various lines we have in our showroom. Got a good rap? If so we'd love to hear it!

Consulting: Know a thing or 2 about handbags and jewelry? Come work directly with our designers and help us to develop ORA's handbag, jewelry and accessory brands from start to finish. You will be working closely with materials and their suppliers, as well as trend forecasting and analysis. You will participate in meetings and conference calls with clients both local and international, obtaining a strong grasp of where accessories are heading, and how a line goes from Idea to Arm Candy.

Merchandising: Do you love colors and shapes? Ever arranging and rearranging in efforts to create something even More beautiful? Here you will spend your days merchandising the various lines in our beautiful showroom; keeping it neat and organized for both buyer and press appointments. You will further gain exposure to the development of the jewelry, handbag and accessory lines from a merchandising standpoint, and learn how storylines are brought to life in store-windows, display cases, etc.

Must have excellent communication skills, a can-do attitude and a LOVE of accessories. This internship is unpaid, however the experience gained through this opportunity will be priceless.
