LOOKING FOR PR/ MARKETING INTERN TO WORK IN THE FASHION FIELD:

PART TIME SPARE TIME HOURS

REAL EXPERIENCE WITH A SMALL BUT UNIQUE COMPANY

CAN WORK FROM HOME

COMPANY MEETINGS ONCE A MONTH IN THE ALEXANDRIA/ARLINGTON AREA

POSITION MAY GROW INTO A PAID POSITION IN TIME IF RESULTS HAPPEN

TASKS AND REQUIREMENTS

Interest in and familiarity with media relations and public relations

Self-motivation and ability to work both independently and collaboratively and be flexible

Strong Research skills

Knowledge of Graphic or Website design is a plus

Extensive familiarity with and use of online tools (Twitter, Google Alerts, Widget applications, Flickr, Facebook, Snag-it, etc)

Social media maintenance on behalf of organization

Writing content for web site and blog

Updating Website & Blog

Produce newsletters and other informational e-mailings to subscribers

Research Upcoming Events

Apply for Media Credentials on behalf of organization

Cover events on behalf of organization

Write press releases and other media outreach

Respond to media inquiries as needed

Writing, "hard-editing", and proofreading components of proposals

Maintenance and report of contact database

ALSO

Intern should be experienced in any of the following:

-Social media marketing

-Press kit construction

-Copywriting for retail

As a marketing intern, these are examples of potential projects:

-Lookbooks

-Press releases

-Contacting media

COMPENSATION:

This is an unpaid internship but there is a commission compensation should the efforts of the Intern lead to sales from specific source that he/she worked on , more to be discussed during interview
