Internship Description-

Social Media/Graphic Designer Intern

San Francisco-based Fashion & Lifestyle photographer looking to expand my marketing reach through social media/networking/blogging platforms.

The Social Media Intern will assist in writing posts for various social media outlets such as Facebook and Twitter, as well as perform research into social media trends among different types of brands and products.

*Excellent verbal and written communication skills

*Experience with fan sites, forums, Facebook pages

*Familiarity with social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, etc.

*Familiarity with Wordpress blogs

*Familiarity with how commercial photography studios use social media platforms

*Familiar with iContact Email Blast system and tracking

*Proficient in Word and Excel with general understanding of reporting and analytics. Google analytics a plus.

*Knowledge of Search Engine Optimization and digital marketing

*Graphic Design skills a major plus.

*Other responsibilities could include designing marketing email promos, direct mail promos, letterhead/business

*Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign & Illustrator), and website content management system and HTML

*Work remotely at least 10 hours per week

This is an unpaid internship to start but opportunity to grow into a paid position after 3 months. Also, willing to provide any insight, information, connections I can into the Commercial Photography Industry-have worked for some of the top ad photographers in the World. If we can get you school credit for this internship, I am happy to do what I can to make that happen. For the right person, I will do whatever I can to help you learn, grow and make connections. I was an intern many years ago for a photographer and it changed the course of my career in a postitive way.
