Thrift Store Seeks Stylish And Socially Conscious Fashion Expert! (West Roxbury)

Can you distinguish a real Missoni from a Target Missoni? Do you have subscriptions to Nylon and InStyle? Do you spend hours filling online shopping carts at asos and modcloth? Do you scour sale racks on Newbury street and hunt for gems in consignment stores? Are you brave enough to shop dollar a pound sales?

Our used clothing warehouse is seeking a fashion savvy individual who can recognize mid to high range designers, current trends, desirable vintage and quality garments. We are a non-profit operation supplying local thrift stores, with all revenue benefitting The AIDS Action Committee of MA.

This job consists of recognizing and pricing premium items among the abundant donations processed at our warehouse. Other potential responsibilities include sorting donations; sorting and pricing house wares and assisting donors. You would work as part of a team of fun and friendly employees and volunteers who care about sustainable commerce and working for a good cause.

Hours are somewhat flexible. We would prefer someone full time, but would arrange part time hours for the right person. Please note this is a warehouse environment. People with severe dust allergies may not be comfortable here. People with an aversion to used items need not apply. This position requires you to be on your feet for most of the day.

We are looking for someone who has a positive attitude and a good work ethic. You would need reliable transportation to West Roxbury (serviced by several bus lines and a commuter rail, but not near the subway.)
