JOB SUMMARY: Adobe Flex Engineer

FashionPlaytes.com is an exciting ecommerce company for girls at the intersection of innovative business trends including mass customization, social commerce and social gaming.

FashionPlaytes is seeking an experienced Adobe Flex engineer to enhance our interactive games and take our site experience to the next level. We are creating a highly interactive set of games and experiences to keep our customers coming every day.

Experience and Skills

2-3 years plus building interactive applications or games with Adobe Flex

Flex Integration with back end systems using XML or JSON based protocols

Proficiency with Javascript/Flash embedding with swfobject or similar

Experience with building and importing asset swfs is highly desired

General knowledge of web application development and deployment using either Ruby/Rails, PHP or Python

Good understanding of engineering process from design to production release

Opportunity to learn Ruby/Rails, HTML5 and other cutting edge technologies as site evolves over time

Ability to think through and design end-to-end solutions at the application levels

Strong communication skills

Role and Responsibilities

Collaborate directly with game designer and graphic artists on specifications and designs

Work with back end team on game integration and API specification

Report to the engineering team lead

Key member of a small focused technical team

Produce high quality code

Work in an a fast moving agile process
