Indie Beauty company that sells eco-friendly hair and skincare is looking for a superstar intern that would quickly advance to publicist.

If you are looking to have your great ideas come to life for a real skincare/haircare brand and build an awesome portfolio, this is for you. This position is designed to be a jump off point for someone looking to build a successful career in beauty/fashion PR by gaining invaluable real world experience. If you are looking to pass the time, file papers and run errand this is not for you. We are looking for someone who can produce a solid PR/Marketing plan, is tech saavy, and looking for responsibility within a growing beauty company .In this position you would have have the freedom to pursue many of your own ideas but also be able to take direction to carry out the established PR agenda. We are looking for a detail oriented self starter that can get things done with little supervision in a fun and relaxed environment. (flexible part time 20-25 hours/week).

Experience is not necessary but this person should have a solid knowledge of the beauty and fashion industries, a familiarity with trends, beauty editors, brands, influential magazines and blogs. Big plus if you are a blogger and/or have personal relationships with beauty industry insiders.

Qualifications:

Super Sleuth Internet Researcher

Social Media Maven (or Master)

Basic knowledge of photoshop, illustrator and/or other design platforms

Graphic design, photography and artistic experience a plus but not necessary

A+ personality, outgoing, ambitious and well connected

Fast learner/very resourceful/ability to adapt to change quickly

Experience with press releases and PR wires

A+ PR/Journalistic writing skills

Knowledge of Wordpress and Tumblr blogging platforms

Able to write PR copy via twitter/facebook

Knowledge of Zoho CRM a plus.

Job Description:

Write press releases

Contact proper media and PR wires

Manage the company blog/tumblr: (Conduct interviews, brainstorm ideas).

Direct youtube videos.

Coordinate (and possibly style) beauty campaigns

Coordinate celebrity giftings

Catalog and organize contacts.

Simple photo editing

some office assistant

Competitor brands PR tracking

Illustrations, design, photography (if you are skilled at this).

Look for other promotional opportunities (tradeshows etc).
